Clifford & Snell was originally established in 1929 and has a History of pioneering many electronic systems and devices. In 1967 the company was responsible for the introduction of the world's first ever electronic sounder. This breakthrough in technology became the foundation for a long and established role in the manufacture and development of future generations of product.

The design and technical features of our product have proven extremely successful over the years, so much so, that the name Clifford & Snell is synonymous with quality in both design and performance.

The Company offers a comprehensive range of product, addressing a wide variety of applications and industry sectors, including Hazardous Area, Industrial and Process Control, through to the Fire & Security and Marine market. The nature of our industry demands quality and reliability at all times and this is achieved by employing the very latest assembly and manufacturing techniques.

A recent addition to the Clifford & Snell range of product is the Yodalex Explosion Proof Sounders and Strobes. These units are suitable for use in most Hazardous Area applications, including the oil & gas and petrochemical industry. Unique in its design, the product has many innovative features, which includes an omni-directional high sound output with sounder, strobe combination units all sharing a common Explosion Proof enclosure.

Additional product developments include an explosion proof directional sounder, type YO9. Manufactured from glass reinforced polyester (GRP), the YO9 provides a high sound output of 115dB(A). An Ex d flame proof enclosure with stainless steel fixing and mounting yoke, provides total protection. The product meets international standards ranging from North American UL, CUL, ULC, European ATEX, Russian GOST R and IECEx.

To compliment our sounders and beacons, Clifford & Snell has also developed a range of explosion proof manual call points. Manufactured from GRP and designed incorporating an Ex d flame proof enclosure, these units consist of a break glass and push button version.

BASEEFA approved Intrinsically Safe products with sound outputs ranging from 100 to  105dB(A), and featuring 32 sound tones, low power consumption and operational voltages of 12VDC to 24VDC via certified barriers, compliment the Hazardous Area range.

For Industrial and Commercial areas, the Yodalarm and Yodalight range is renowned throughout the industry and is both an established trade name and product in the market place today. Offering sound outputs ranging from 100 through to 120dB(A) at 1 metre in both sounder and sounder/strobe options, a choice of lens colours and available in a variety of AC and DC voltages, these units provide a comprehensive range to match most applications.

The Yodac range of product offers a modular concept solution for Fire and Security markets worldwide. It provides common system architecture through a series of universal components, which is ideal for most applications including public areas, commerical and industrial environments. Available in either flush or surface mount format, these sounders and accessories are available in single, double or triple combinations, with housings manufactured from flame retardant ABS plastic. The Yodac range incorporates a variety of sounders, all featuring numerous frequency options, sound outputs, voltage variations and current consumptions.

Also included within the Yodac range are door holders, flashalarms, mains adaptor units and circuit security keyswitches.
