An elegant and aesthetically designed compact unit which houses a fully integrated sounder/strobe for audible/visual applications within public sector buildings, office suites, schools, shopping centres, hospitals, hotels and airports Complying with BS5839, the YL2 is continuously rated and features low power consumption, volume control as standard and a separate light, sound or combination function. In addition to sound selection via a DIL switch, the unit provides 32 selectable tones meeting a wide range of international regulations. A parabolic reflector produces high intensity light output of 3J, and lens options include red, amber and clear polycarbonate plastic. The enclosure is a red/white non flame-retardant high-impact ABS plastic. Operational temperature ranges from –25°C to +40°C with a light output of 40candela (effective). Voltage rating is 24Vd.c. +/- 20%, whilst minimum current consumption for the strobe is 60mA and for the sounder is 20mA. Total weight is just 0.25kg and the unit is rated at 100dB @ 1 metre.
