NEW LED BEACON LAUNCHED BY CLIFFORD & SNELL AT FIRE EXPO 2005 Clifford & Snell has developed a new range of beacons which incorporate LED technology to complement the company's wide range of signalling equipment. They are designed to be used in Fire and Security applications as well as to meet Process and Control requirements. Featuring high flash intensity with 360° visibility, the V4 LED Beacon is available with an 8 or 12 LED array, depending on the intensity of light required. The units are continuously rated and have high reliability and low power consumption as key features within the product's design. Simple to install and complementary to the company's existing Y04 sounder, the LED beacon can also be used in applications requiring a combination Sounder/Beacon, where LED technology is a design criteria. The flame-retardant version is available in a red enclosure whilst a choice of white or red is offered for non flame-retardant applications. Both can be fitted with lens colours of red or amber made from flame-retardant polycarbonate. Designed to meet the requirements of outdoor use and available in either 12Vd.c or 24Vd.c, the units provide an operational temperature range of -25°C to +40°C with relative humidity of 90% at 40°C. The current consumption is typically 30mA and the units have a flash rate of 1 per second. For
