ATEX-APPROVED INTRINSICALLY-SAFE EEx ia IIC T4 LED BEACON LAUNCHED BY CLIFFORD & SNELL
To extend its range of Hazardous Area products and to complement the highly-successful Yodac Intrinsically Safe sounders, Clifford & Snell has developed a new Series of Intrinsically Safe LED beacons to EEx ia IIC T4 for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Designed to be used in Zones 0, 1 and 2, the V4IS is available in a wide variety of combinations to suit most applications. The high flash intensity is generated through the use of ultra bright LEDs and the lens design provides 360° visibility. The beacon is manufactured using long-life LEDs in an 8-array format, available in 6 colour options including red, amber, green, opal, blue and clear with either a red or white flame-retardant enclosure. Two versions of the beacon are available and have been designed to provide both ‘Flashing’ or ‘Status’ indication. Furthermore, the beacons are modular and can be ordered as a single, double, triple or quadruple unit in any combination of lens or base colour options. The enclosure is designed to meet the requirements of EN50014 and EN50284 and provides total protection against electrostatic interference. Operating voltages include 12Vd.c., 18Vd.c. and 24Vd.c. via ATEX Approved barriers. Simple to install and reliable, the V4IS ATEX-Approved beacons are available for use in operational temperature range of –25°C to +40°C with Ingress Protection to IP65 and provide an ideal signalling solution for use in Hazardous Area applications.
